Greg Bigelow

VP of Product

Greg is fanatical about producing quality software and has done so at firms such as HitBliss, Thomson Reuters, SiteAdvisor, and Thomson Course Technology. His 20-year career in software Quality Assurance spans all aspects of testing, diagnosing, supporting and improving software so that users have the best experience possible. He has a BS in Engineering from Boston University and an MBA from New York Institute of Technology.

Robert Blake, PhD

Head of Global Macro

Robert has over 20 years of experience in US and international macro and microeconomic analysis. Prior to FinMason, he was a Senior Macro Strategist at State Street Global Markets, where he helped develop and deliver currency, interest rate, and asset allocation strategy products. Robert earned a PhD in Economics from Columbia University and a BA cum laude in International Relations from Michigan State University.

Kevin Bruckenstein

Head of Marketing

Prior to joining FinMason, Kevin earned an MA in Mass Communications, with a focus in First Amendment law, and a BS in Advertising from the University of Florida. He has worked in various business units at Fidelity Investments and has co-led the development of a full marketing plan for the Bread of the Mighty Food Bank. Kevin is an experienced writer with works featured in peer-reviewed law journals and on company blogs.

David Bucek

Senior Java Developer

David has more than 20 years of software-development experience. Prior to joining FinMason, he served as a Senior Java Developer at Casenet LLC and as a Senior Programmer at KBC Global Services before that. David specializes in Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with focus on enterprise systems, and earned an MS in Computer Science from the Czech Technical University in Prague.

Marek Bukacek

Senior Quant Analyst

Marek combines the mathematical and stochastic skills he’s acquired at the Czech Technical University (CTU) - Faculty of Nuclear Sciences with analytical experiences from his former projects. Prior to FinMason, he worked as a Quantitative Analyst at Salix Capital and participated in many research tasks within CTU, where he is now finishing his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics. As a Quant professional, he continuously seeks to bring order to the chaos.

Mark Carroll

Director, Data Science

Mark joins FinMason from Eze Software, where he was the Lead Financial Engineer for the Risk and Valuation product group. Prior to Eze, he was Director of Research at Direxion. He graduated magna cum laude in Mathematics from Columbia University and has a Masters in Computational Finance and Risk Management from the University of Washington's Applied Mathematics department.

Karel Doubner

Senior QA Engineer

Prior to joining FinMason, Karel worked for Vodafone as an Integration & Verification Engineer. Before that, he worked as a Designer and a Test Automation Engineer at T-Mobile Czech Republic. Karel earned his MS in Telecommunication from the Czech Technical University in Prague.

Saeid Hoseinzade, PHD

Senior Data Scientist

Saeid brings several years of research experience in asset management and fixed income to Finmason. He holds a B.Sc. and a M.Sc in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from Boston College where his main research focus was in liquidity of corporate bonds. He also teaches various finance courses at Suffolk University.

Lukas Karasek

Senior Java Developer

Lukas brings more than 13 years of software-engineering experience to FinMason. Prior to joining, he worked as a Senior Java Developer at Casenet LLC and was a Senior Java Developer at IDC before that. His professional career has spanned three countries and various industries. Lukas earned a BS in Information Technologies at the Technical University of Ostrava.

Milos Kozak, PhD

Lead DevOps Engineer

Prior to joining FinMason, Milos led the Distributed Application Management team for Commerz Systems GmbH where he worked to continuously improve mission-critical middleware systems. He was also involved in the development of a new, bank-wide continuous-integration and delivery system. Prior to that, he worked for the Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague as a researcher in telecommunications and ran several critical IT systems. Milos earned a PhD, MS, and BS in Telecommunication Engineering and an MS in Business from CTU.

Bob Leaper

Head of Business Development

Bob been intimately involved in helping FinTech firms with go-to-market strategy and sales execution for more than 20 years, including roles as head of global sales and marketing at Eagle Investment Systems, interim CEO of start-up Data Agent, head of sales at start-up Verilytics, Inc. and head of global business development at Thomson PORTIA. He also spent a number of years as a bond arbitrage trader, and attended Stanford Graduate School of Business and Drew University.

Rich Lenihan

Director of Enterprise Sales

Rich spent the first 13 years of his career at Oppenheimer, Cowen, and Paine Webber before making the leap over to WealthTech, where he has been operating in a senior business development role for the last 17 years. He was one of the Founding Partners of Greentrak, which was acquired by Advent Software in 2002. He spent the next 12 years at Advent as a Senior Account Executive/Biz Dev executive before moving to Informa where he has spent the last 3 years doing what he loves: helping advisors find the right solutions to help them, and their clients, be successful.


Director, Data Science

Jian joins FinMason after gaining experience in quantitative research and asset management at some of the industry’s most notable firms, including UBS, CICC, PICC, and most recently, State Street Global Advisors, where she was a Quantitative Analyst, AVP in Risk Analytics group. She earned a Master of Finance from MIT and a PhD in Computational Mathematics from Peking University with the highest academic honor. She also has 14 peer-reviewed publications in statistical physics and computer science.

Jakub Matena

Front-End Architect

Prior to joining FinMason, Jakub worked as a development team lead at Ceska Pojistovna and was a Senior Java Developer at T-Mobile Czech Republic before that. Experienced as a full-stack developer, his skill set includes modern Java/JavaScript development stacks, application design, and application architecture. Jakub earned an MS in Information Technologies from the University of Hradec Kralove.

Zbynek Nevrly

Senior QA Engineer

Zbynek brings 13 years of software development and quality assurance experience to FinMason. He began his career as a software developer, but ultimately discovered his passion for software quality assurance. His previous roles include Senior Software Developer at Tieto and quality assurance roles at Vendavo and Massive Interactive. Zbynek received his MS from VSB Ostrava.

Colin Robinson

Director, Data Science

Prior to joining FinMason, Colin earned his BA in Economics from Harvard University, where he studied quantitative analysis with the Harvard Financial Analysts club. Colin is an expert in the R statistical programming language. On a related note, he is also a professional magician in his spare time.

Martin Sourek

Java Developer & DevOps Engineer

Prior to joining FinMason, Martin worked as a Software Architect and Java Developer at T-Mobile Czech Republic. He brings more than 15 years of software development and integration experience to the team.

Marek Vesely, PhD


Marek has more than 23 years of IT experience in various industries. Prior to joining FinMason, he served as CTO at Casenet LLC, as a General Manager at Casenet Europe, and as Senior Enterprise Architect at Hewlett Packard/EDS. Marek earned a PhD, MS, and BS in Numerical Modeling from Charles University in Prague.

Kendrick Wakeman, CFA


Kendrick has over 27 years of investment experience across a broad range of asset classes and has developed, built and run institutional-level risk management programs at both large and small financial institutions. Prior to founding FinMason, he was a Portfolio Manager/Analyst at Lazard Asset Management. He has a BA from Dartmouth College and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Ales Zeleny

Lead PostgreSQL DBA

Ales brings more than 20 years of database experience on UNIX and Linux systems to the FinMason team. Prior to joining us, Ales served as an Oracle and PostgreSQL DBA for 17 years. Before that, he spent five years as a Platform Services Manager at the Erste Group. His passion for databases began when he worked with Borland InterBase (open sourced as Firebird) many years ago.

There he led a team of engineers building a robust software solution for automated insurance fraud detection utilizing big data and statistical analysis. Prior to Enservio, he was a Senior Software Engineer at HubSpot, the world’s leading inbound marketing and sales platform.

Adam Tashman, PhD

Analytics Advisor

Prior to joining FinMason, Adam was a senior quantitative analyst at RBS, where he was part of a team that validated all quantitative risk, financial and valuation models for the bank. He has a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from SUNY Stony Brook, an MA in Mathematical Finance from Columbia University, and a BA in Mathematics from University of Virginia.

Mark Hollingsworth


Mark was most previously Director of Enterprise Solutions at Riskalyze of Auburn, California. Prior to Riskalyze, he was Co-founder, President and CEO of NEXT Financial Group, a nationwide independent broker-dealer and investment advisor. Prior to NEXT, Hollingsworth also held positions at Wheat First Securities (now part of Wells Fargo), Branch Cabell and Investors Security. He was also a guest host on CNBC’s ‘Squawk Box’ and ‘Taking Stock’ for 5 years, until the founding of NEXT.
